React has stronger backing from a single large maintaining organization (Meta) with a long track record of long-term API stability commitments, plus adoption by an enormous number of large companies, which makes it a safer long-term bet for enterprises evaluating ten-year platform risk. Vue is maintained by a smaller, dedicated core team funded partly through sponsorships and enterprise support contracts — a genuinely healthy and actively developed project, but with a different risk profile for a business doing multi-year vendor and technology risk assessment.

Migration and rewrite costs matter too. If a business anticipates needing to hire a large engineering team quickly, or bring in an outside development partner on short notice, React's larger talent pool reduces onboarding friction for whoever inherits the codebase next — an underrated factor in total cost of ownership that often gets left out of the initial framework decision.
